Scotch Old Collegians Performing Arts Troupe

SOCPAT (Scotch Old Collegians' Performing Arts Troupe) is the newest association to be added to the Old Collegian repertoire. Starting up in mid 2010, leavers from '08 and '09, as well as current students and staff helped to put together the group's inaugural show: The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon. Produced and directed by SOCPAT's president Thomas Goodall, the show received hugely positive responses and was a terrific first step toward getting SOCPAT known amongst the Scotch community, and wider. SOCPAT has recently been officially incorporated, and now aims to set up a perfectly independent functioning system for which to use in the years to come.

SOCPAT rehearses in the school's magnificent Barr Smith Theatre. With its grand open space and countless resources, it gives the performers a perfect environment to reconnect with their love of theatre and fond memories of the space. The group's main aim is currently to perform one major show a year, though the hope is also to do a minor production in the off period as fundraising events for the group.

As membership and interest increases, SOCPAT will endeavour to put on more large-scale shows. Continue to check back to see what we're currently up to, and what's next for us. If you're interested in our current show's performances, auditioning for our next project, or need information about upcoming rehearsals or committee activity see the News section.
