Straight Scotch Report

The past summer season certainly had its ups and downs! The A team fought well to earn their way into the finals and finished on top of the ladder. Unfortunately the girls lost the Preliminary Final by a very narrow margin.

The B team was undefeated until the last minor round of the season and also finished top of the ladder and eased into the finals. Their opposition unfortunately got the better of them in this round, but they moved on to the Preliminary Final with fire in their bellies. Although the girls didn’t progress to the Grand Final they all fought well including Kelsey Weckert who had an unfortunate head clash in the dying minutes. She recovered well the next morning with a black eye to remind her of her efforts!

Unfortunately the C team who fought hard each game, were dominated most weeks. The girls did an amazing job all season and we thank them for their efforts.

The D team had an amazingly fun season playing together after the Christmas break! Because of their new-found joy they played much better as a team, and were much more successful also. Due to some team members travelling, over seas fill-ins became permanent fixtures in this young and vibrant team, and we would like to welcome and congratulate them on their efforts. Well done on a fantastic season girls!

Our ETSA park team had a tough season also with much stronger competition. The girls decided to take the season off but have started up again for winter, much more determined I’m sure! We look forward to seeing them back in action. With the winter season underway, all teams are showing great promise. Girls keep up the good work.

The A team have changed their body suits to match the school girls which is great news moving forward. We look forward to a big season coming up. A big thank you must go to our sponsors Holdfast Insurance Brokers for their ongoing support.
