As many old collegians were already playing and heavily training with other clubs at the time, the concept of the old collegians team during the first season was one in which school friends could play together on a Tuesday night as an opportunity to catch up with each other on a social basis.

The original team in 1989 was made up of the following players:

Fifteen years later, the Old Collegians Netball Association has grown from strength to strength, with four teams entered over the 2004/05 summer season. Teams are predominately made up of old collegian members, or partners of old collegian’s, however a few university friends and work colleagues have also been recruited along the way.

Winter of 2004 created Scotch Old Collegian sporting history with all three teams winning the premiership in A1, A2 & B3 grades.

Last year saw another successful summer season for the Scotch College Old Collegians Netball Club. Three out of our four teams played in finals over the season with a unique situation where we had two A1 teams playing off against each other for the Premiership. The summer season also saw another successful chocolate-selling fundraiser which helped to provide uniforms for all players and new equipment for the teams.

With the hope of repeating the success of the 2004 winter season, where all three teams won premierships, we have begun the 2005 winter season entering three teams in A1, A2 and A3 divisions. Winter brings the generous support of our first sponsor, Holdfast Insurance whose logo will be featured on our new warm up tops for all players.

We would like to encourage all Old Collegians, in particularly recent school leavers, to come and join a team or form their own under the Scotch Old Collegians Netball Association banner.
